Marc Andreessen’s Opsware gets acquired by HP for $1.6b

He fueled the growth of internet by creating one of the first internet browsers, namely Mosaic while at the University of Illinois. After graduation, Marc co-founded Netscape Communications, and played a critical role in the company’s hypergrowth. Andreessen later became CTO of AOL when the company purchased Netscape in 1999.
Read on his blog that his company Opsware (Operations + Software) got acquired for a cool $1.6b in cash. A well written posting where he thanks everyone who supported him in this venture and most importantly he has a note for the lawyers also
