Mayawati: Finally India has its own Mr 10%

Yesterday it was either NDTV or CNN-IBN which reported that UP Chief Minister Mayawati unveiled 60 statues of which 6 were of her own! The first thing that came to mind was “10%” ! Pakistan’s current President, Zardari, was better known as Mr. 10%.
It is amazing how one can get away even under such high media glare. UP doesn’t have sufficient funds to sponsor education and other mandatory programs (like any other state) but the govt funds are being used for self-promotion.
With Amar Singh getting both his kidneys fixed in Singapore you don’t hear any opposition to Miss 10%’s charitable acts.
Mayawati may very well have a valid reason for installing her own statue,
“It’s because of the wish of (BSP founder) late Kanshi Ram who had desired that a statue of his political successor should be installed beside his.”..More
So why did Mayawati stop at having 10% to her own? Simple, Zardari was known as Mr. 10% and see today, he is the President of Pakistan. Now, chances are Mayawati too will become the PM or President of India some day.
