I visited my niece’s school Nasr in Hyderabad for Independence Day celebrations. Was thrilled as my niece was getting her Prefect badge (how to be a good Prefect at school?). I already look upto her as she is at least 4 inches taller than me, after getting her badge I would look upto her even if she were to be shorter than me!

Blackberry: Can’t access address book, Send option disappears

Last 2 days I have been spending time fixing my Blackberry 8520. I was using Blackberry Desktop 5.x on my Windows 7, I read about their new snazy upgrade, the upgrade itch forced me to upgrade to Desktop 6.0. During installation I thought version 5 would be deleted/upgraded, at the end of the installation I had two working versions – 5.x and 6.x.

Class of 2010 to begin, will our kids survive the ragging?

Just few days ago an innocent Engineering student fresher Abhishek Sahai was forced to suicide. Reason – the dreadful ragging. Lately because of TV in India these incidents are getting exposed quickly. It was heart breaking to see Abhishek’s dad weep, his grief very much understandable. Every parent prays they will never be in his shoes.

Domain names in Indian languages to be released soon

Today’s Mint reports domain names in regional languages will be released soon. There has been talk about this for a while now, it would be interesting to see how the usage of language domainnames will pick up in India.
