Offline bookstores in India under threat from online bookstores?

Few days ago Times of India carried an article comparing the prices of books across 3 leading online bookstores. While Flipkart clearly is the winner when it comes to brand recall they lately are being scrutinized heavily in the media. The article was about Flipkart raising the order value from Rs 200 to Rs 300 to avail free shipping.

11% of Indians claim to speak English, should the rest, the majority feel inferior? NO

Saturday editions of Mint and Sunday editions of the newly designed Economic Times (ya, ya, I am talking about ET) are a treat to read. Mint carries very in depth articles on Saturdays and I love the ‘numbers oriented’ articles in Sunday ET. Yesterday the center page article in Mint “Angerzi Nation (English Nation)” (article no longer available on livemint.com) was about the non-English speaking population, termed as vernis in India.

Mozilla increases its focus on mobile, a message for everybody?

My email client is  Mozilla Thunderbird. I have been using it pretty much from its launch about 8 years ago (launched on Dec 7, 2004). I have used various mail clients – Unix based Mail, mush and the first UI based client  Eudora (as early as 1993).
