Long weekends are always good & bad news for me. Bangalore roads are wonderful to drive during long weekends. It is safe to assume a huge percentage of population goes out of Bangalore during holidays - mainly to Tamil Nadu, Andhra (united Andhra!), Kerala.

We recently received our first traffic violation notice from Bangalore Traffic Police Department. The notice was printed neatly in a professional manner, which is rare for any govt notice.

A while ago I had read about movie theatres in India being required to play the National Anthem before the show. As a child growing up I remember it being played "after" the show and doors were being opened only after the completion of the anthem (rightfully so).
