Karnataka lately has been in the news for all wrong reasons (mining, corruption). We residents are tired of non-governance in the state. Every year parents across India eagerly look for the college rankings published by various magazines.
Today I got to read the rankings published by “India Today“. The rankings are disturbing. You don’t get to see any colleges outside Bangalore in the list (except for one in Suratkal and Manipal).
Not just the education institutions should stand up note, I think the Education Minister in Karnataka needs to take stock of things.
Many students outside Karnataka look at our state for education, wonder for how long.
Update: It was good to read today that the leading Law college in India, NLSIU will mentor various Law colleges in Karnataka. Way to go.
