Commonwealth Games, uncommon expenditure

Commonwealth Games which is scheduled to be held in October 2010 has been in the news for all wrong reasons 
- Cost of hosting games in Delhi: Rs 30,000 crore ($1m = approx Rs 5 crore)
- Cost of opening and closing ceremony Rs 150 crore
- Cost of renting a Blimp (that big balloon) for 3 hours of opening ceremony: Rs 40 crore
- Senior Congress man Mani Shankar Aiyar would like to see the games fail.
- Govt believes they have released a swanky site of Taj Mahal
- Many top sports persons are pulling out of CWG
- India is already planning on bidding for Olympics 2020. We need a 20/20 vision on sports first.
