The third South Indian language, Telugu, has been launched by Google News. The only one pending from the South is Kannada.

Google News has released their Malayalam version. It is good to see Google India's commitment towards Indian languages. We are waiting for Google to release Telugu and Kannada versions.

On September 2, 2008 [Tuesday] every techie blog carried the news about the release of Google's new browser Chrome. In India usually people don't release/start anything on a Tuesday as it is considered inauspicious.

Google India has been very serious about their language effort in India. Their tools are gaining popularity but I believe the usage will increase with the increase of internet usage in Tier-II cities.
