Oneindia.in started its operations on January 1, 2006. We are 5 years young today. The year 2010 was very eventful for us. Thanks to the support from our loyal readers and advertisers, without which we couldn’t have been what we are today.

The third South Indian language, Telugu, has been launched by Google News. The only one pending from the South is Kannada.

Google News has released their Malayalam version. It is good to see Google India's commitment towards Indian languages. We are waiting for Google to release Telugu and Kannada versions.

Google India has been very serious about their language effort in India. Their tools are gaining popularity but I believe the usage will increase with the increase of internet usage in Tier-II cities.
