My fourth column in “Vijaya Next” (Kannada newspaper) was about what sharing photos on the internet. Main points were,

  • Introduction of digital cameras, phasing out of film based cameras
  • Increase in the number of photos from each event
  • Picasa the most popular program for managing photos on PC and web
  • Picasa and Live.com allows you to share photos
  • Picasa can be trained to recognize faces
  • Precautions to be taken while sharing photos on the internet
