Number of mobile phones (Dec 2016): 5 billion
Number of smartphones (Dec 2016): 2.5 billion
SIM penetration is > 100% (number of SIM connections divided by population)
Smartphones are moving past the PC, heading towards 5+ billion users.
Smartphone apps are now close to 60% of all time spent in the USA (Facebook has 15-20% of mobile time)
