I was pointed to this article in The Hindu newspaper by my dad today “IT sector has done more harm than good to the city“. Bangalore as a brand has taken a huge beating over the last few years. Roads, garbage is a huge problem. But partly we citizens are to be blamed for the mess.
Today there is a lot of mistrust between residents in India and the politicians (irrespective of the political party). There is a war on social media. I would like to emphasize that I am totally against anti-national content floating around, I doubt any sane person will support bad content.
The recent North East exodus in India has been very painful for most (if not all) residents of India. In my city of Bangalore we have many who have migrated from North Eastern India, which is the most ignored part of India. China for sure is waiting for the opportunity to grab all of North East India [read China’s audacity].
The most common gateway to information on the internet namely Google is on the receiving end from various governments – the ones democratically or otherwise elected.
In the recently held elections in the state of Tamil Nadu we internet companies had a lot to cheer about – major parties in the state promised to give laptops for free to students [Govt could face legal action]. So irrespective of which party would win our industry had to gain, this rarely happens.
