Google Chrome released on Ganesh Chaturthi
September 3rd, 2008 | by bgmahesh |On September 2, 2008 [Tuesday] every techie blog carried the news about the release of Google’s new browser Chrome. In India usually people don’t release/start anything on a Tuesday as it is considered inauspicious.
I waited till late night on Sept 2 to check out Chrome but it was not released. I think it is reasonably safe to assume most of the residents in India got to test drive Chrome on September 3 which was a very auspicious day - Ganesh Chaturthi. In India, especially in the Southern States of India (Karnataka, Andhra, Tamil Nadu) as we know every function (house warming, office opening etc) starts off with folks seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha.
So does Chrome have a great future? Time will only tell
