If there is one thing the internet entrepreneurs have been complaining in India it is about the low internet user base. It is not exactly low when you see in isolation but for a country with 1.2 billion population 120-150 million internet users is not something to celebrate about.

India to have second largest online population by 2015

The internet user base is expected to grow from the current 120 million (2011) to 330-370 million by 2015. The year 2015 is really not that far away.

Internet services and devices industry (mobile handsets, tablets etc) has potential to increase its contribution to up to 3.3 per cent to India’s gross domestic product by 2015, a report by McKinsey & Company.
