- Brazil
- Japan
- U.K.
- Indonesia
- India
- Mexico
- Canada
- Spain
- Philippines
Top 8 Twitter cities are (based on the number of tweets),
- Jakarta, Indonesia
- New York
- Tokyo

India doesn’t feature in the top 20 Tweeting cities.
While English is the most popular language on Twitter the usage has stagnated at 40%. Arabic is the fastest growing language on Twitter. No Indian language features in the study.
For Twitter to grow in India it is important for the internet penetration to grow in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns of India. Also, people use social media more for entertainment and Twitter is more about News.
Will the general elections of 2014 help Twitter to get more popular in India? I think so.
