I have been wanting to buy an Android Table which is not very  expensive (unlike an iPad) but with good number of features (again, i.e. an iPad)!! I already have an iPad (non-3G), so Android was the obvious choice for the next tablet to see what is happening in that space.

Kindle Fire sounded like a good choice even though I considered other Android tablets before. The features of Kindle Fire looked pretty good and $199 is a very good price.

Google’s Eric Schmidt: Curb on H-1B is US govt’s “Stupidest Policy”

Immigration has always been a topic of deep interest to me. I had to convince my friend about blocking  immigration.com for him! I had written the detailed Immigration FAQ way back in 1991.

In an interview to Washington Post, “Google’s Eric Schmidt: Top 10 Reasons Bureaucrats Drive Me Nuts“, you get to read about what Eric Schmidt thinks of the US goverment. In India, Nandan Nilekani is one technocrat who has gone the from outside to inside the government. He never complains of the red tape he comes across, at least not in public.

Small towns finally making its presence felt on India’s internet map

Sharing Feature: Why can’t Google Docs & GWT learn from Google Adsense?

The sharing feature in Google Analytics (User Manager) is a great feature to share the traffic details with other users. It is not clear why Google Docs and Google Webmaster Tools (GWT) is not having this feature.

Google Buzz fails to create the buzz, axed. What about Orkut?

Since today morning tweets have been talking about the various products Google has decided to shut – Google Buzz, Code Search, Jaiku, iGoogle social features etc. I wasn’t using any of these actively. Google Buzz was reading my tweets, thats about the closest I have got to using any of these products which are about to shut.
